Olympic White

White is a color that symbolized purity—purity of heart and purity of the soul—both qualities that will transform and lift you upward. How does this happen? Change your feelings and become aware of the good that surrounds you. Stop a minute. Breathe deep. Your emotions tell you where you are but you can change your feeling, and good feelings will draw “good” to you. And good is good.

Let’s feel this perfect playing Hollow T Classic together.

So, who was it that had the foresight and luminosity to order this Hollow T Classic finished in Olympic White? Well, who knows you best? And who knows what you need to see? And who knows with whom you should play? And who loves you most?

Mother, that’s who!

Mother…or rather Mother’s Music in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It is the manager Nate who knew you wanted and needed to see Olympic White brighten the surfaces of a Hollow T Classic. He has good taste, no doubt about that. Mother’s gets a lot of really amazing Andersons through their doors.

Nate understands that many players enjoy the sleek and fast feel of an Anderson, Even-Taper neck, as fingers are invited to fly across the glistening Heavy, Stainless Steel frets, atop the deep brown landscape of an Indian Rosewood fingerboard, or to just hold and hang with one single resounding chord of blossoming sustain. It is all good as these Anderson-Exclusive frets impart more string vibration directly into the wood of the neck than any other fret material. The results are gorgeously ear pleasing.

Vigorous vintage tones are abundantly provided, complements of a light-weight Alder body, dutifully attended by TV1 and TV3 Anderson pickups. Control is granted via the familiar function of a 3-Way selector, master volume and a tone control that is actually tuned to be extremely useful.

Ordering a new Cadillac back in 1958 you would have checked the box labeled Olympic White if this lighter shade of pale was your preference. Olympic White graced this automaker’s lines for two more years before finding its way into the music industry and onto electric guitars. As a matter of interest, the origin for many of those early custom guitar colors was via this same pathway. Say, you don’t suppose dear Leo had a thing for Cadillacs, do you? After all, it was considered a cool car then as well as now.

Thanks to General Motors and to Leo and all that were a part of those early and formative years. And thanks to Nate for being the other Mother we all need.
