Part V
(sort of)

When Darth Vader clenched his fist and uttered those now-famous words: “You don’t know the power of the dark side!” he was sure he knew it all. But he clearly did not understand much of anything. His arrogance merely kept it hidden from view.

Unaware and engrossed in his own utter ignorance of how a successful life really functions, he was overlooking two essential universal truths by which everything operates. In the end, these two very vital aspects would change the way he would view and understand everything—a complete reversal.

The first was unconditional love. Love, no matter what and no matter how one behaves.

Not to be confused with approval. They are different.

Think about how his son, Luke, would not give up on his father—even though Darth was as seriously bad dad.

Unconditional love is a real principle and can change this world in a moment—but we have to be brave enough to be the first to give it.

The second universal truth is so great in its import that it pales only before the first truth—and none other.

Darth did not know the power of…an M-Series, Hollow Drop Top Classic!

What!?

Shall I say it again? He did not know the power of a Hollow Drop Top Classic outfitted with 3 M-Series pickups.

Can you believe that!?

How completely deluded can one guy living on a space station get?

What we find out later in the movie—way later—is that Darth had been listening with his eyes and not his ears. As he gazed upon the beauty of a Hollow Drop Top Classic outfitted with M-Series pickups he could not grasp the simple reality of the M-Series:

Yes, they look like tiny humbuckers—smaller than even our P-Series (soapbar-style) pickups.

But their sound is: Big Single Coil! Not humbucker.

They have that characteristically wide, musical bandwidth. They pop and pluck like a single coil—especially in pairs. But when you dig in and ramp them up through even a moderate amp, they explode with a huge attitude.

But again, Giant Single Coil tone!

Matthew Von Doran is a professional musician in every sense of the word. In fact, his #1 guitar is a Transparent Plum, Hollow Drop Top Classic. So, when he saw this one he was immediately drawn and needed to hug it. Matt is embarking on a national tour very soon. You can get the low down on him at his website. Here he is pictured on board a Star Cruiser, or at the NAMM Show (one of the two, you choose) with this gorgeous Hollow Drop Top Classic and some sort of alien, or a highly intelligent earthling (again, you choose).

Whichever it is, both of these beings agree on one thing: This is the most formidable Strat-type, single coil-sounding guitar on earth—or anywhere in the galaxy for that matter!

Tone gushes from this guitar! Giant Single Coil Tone! Not humbucker tone—earthshaking Single Coil Tones—out of this world!

One reasons for this phenomenon is that Ms have the added advantage of symbiotically assisting maple topped, long-scale guitars. This enables their naturally more pronounced tone to dominate the single coil realm with fullness of body, and yet can still sound delicate and plucky when needed.

Beauty and total tonal musical domination—not a bad combination.

Now we all know the power of the M-Series, Hollow Drop Top Classic!
