Welcome to the continuing:

After-Party

Anderson Alert: Looking for a Previous NAMM 13 Guitar?
A quick click on the Anderson banner above takes you back to the one-and-only Cobra finished in Honey Burst from last week.

Let’s Go to the Show!

And so, continuing with the NAMM extravaganza of Anderson joy... many have probably asked:

So, did the NAMM 13 Show have a theme that pervaded this enormous venue…something that transformed an industry trade show into an event of monumental musical magnificence?

Funny you should ask that question. Why yes it did, and it was:

Purple…yes, we said Purple.

It was a Purple themed NAMM Show, for sure, at the Anderson booth.

Dare I scream it? No I won’t…well…okay, I will:

“Purple Party at the Anderson Booth!” (Sorry, couldn’t help it.)

We didn’t plan it to be so, it just happened—a byproduct of the powerful and profound prowess this Drop T Classic-Shorty proclaimed as it radiated its predominate Transparent Purple Burst-ness throughout the arena.

In fact, on days 2, 3 and 4 of the Show people were actually dressing in Purple just to match the guitars in our booth.

An exaggeration?

An overstatement?

Not really…well maybe a little...but it does illustrate the point for sure. And Roy certainly did show up wearing a purple shirt so he could mingle among the purple Anderson axes undetected—hiding behind pickguards and darting in and amongst the headstocks—all in good fun.

(In the above paragraph we did use the word “axes” to indicate the plural of the word axe. Yes, there was more than one Purple present. See Purple Surf, Cobra S on Facebook—a few entries ago. We will talk about that one in a later Guitar of the Week as we get into the whole Surf Burst theme thing. You will love it too.)

Yes really, everyone was exclaiming over this guitar all weekend long—so cool.

Pictured is: Drop T Classic-Shorty finished in…yes…Trans Purple Burst.

This was specced by Tony Higbee—our Anderson Ambassador in Nashville. He runs the Platinum Room in one of only four Guitar Center Stores throughout the country that exclusively carry Anderson Guitars.

Tony is a gem and he certainly knew what he was doing when he specced this Drop T Classic in Trans Purple Burst, accentuated with a Black pickguard and highlighted by a chrome covered TV1 neck pickup and a sweet sounding, nickel-covered HC2 in the bridge position.

Anderson standard switching always offers a vast array of tonal combinations without the need to ask for more. Here, with only two pickups, you may flash through 5 awesome tonal combinations from Nashville and beyond.

1. Neck - single coil
2. Neck - single coil + Bridge - single coil
3. Neck - single coil + Bridge – full power humbucker
4. Bridge - single coil
5. Bridge – full power humbucker

Simple, easy and awesome—to hold, to own, to play and to love.
