Ever fired a Howitzer? No, well that is a good thing because they can have quite a kick. Care is required. But still there is a power about them, and we are attracted to power. But constructive power is the key—power that creates and rebuilds instead of destroys. The world is ready.

Music is a spiritual pathway. Its very purpose is to reach across the chasm and deep into the soul with an ability to create and nurture. As with all things, to use the gift most effectively, focus is needed—not the struggle kind of focus but the flowing kind. Musically speaking, a means of conveyance is required—you know, a guitar.

Many musicians rightly feel music is the essence of life and it begins on a molecular level—and beyond. What is beyond the molecular level? Why the atomic level of course (as if you didn’t see that one coming). So then, conveyance has its roots on the atomic level, as the actual energy that binds the particles of an atom into their smallest elemental level. That is also where communication and music originate—the essence of intelligence itself.

What am I trying to say here? Why should I know? Let’s such say this:

You may have never fired a Howitzer but you should definitely lock and load its musical equivalent—the Atom Special. Its all-Mahogany construction, shorter 24 ¾-inch scale length, top-mounted bridge and Wraparound tailpiece all contribute to its cannon-like qualities while Anderson construction keeps its projection completely musical, expanded and flowing freely. It is an Anderson thing inherent to every instrument we make. It is known as the Anderson Expanded Bandwidth—more music per strum. You can really hear it throughout everything you play but is especially evident by jamming unplugged. The guitars just seem to want to ring out, almost forever. In this Hollow Atom Special’s case it comes through with the Atom character of robust and muscular midrange and a touch of openness from the visually undetectable hollow chambers.

Absolutely Spectacular!

For quite awhile we have really wanted to be able to share this Cherry Burst, Hollow Atom Special with you. There is just something special about a Cherry Burst finish over an all-Mahogany body that calls out to the roots in many guitar players. We shot its pictures and shipped it off to the world-famous Manny’s Music in New York City. But it sold faster than we could get the pictures up on our site. Oh well. Finally we thought: what the heck, this guitar is simply way too cool not to show anyway, and besides, we can build you another one just like it.

Ever fired a Howitzer? Who needs to? Atom Special is now the weapon of the new millennium as humankind awakens.
