Hollow T Classic
Swamp Ash Top on Hollow Ash Back
Sparkle Silver

The effervescence of Swamp Ash is required for many players who love this style of electric guitar. They desire pop and cut, but with a rich, musically sparkling quality that is underpinned by a huge low end—and not an overabundance of middle to get in the way of their style of picking. Yes, Swamp Ash has a magic all its own. Players who have totally become one with this wood’s characteristic presentation find its sound to be wonderfully supported by vintage-style single coil pickups—perhaps a TV1 in the neck position and a TV3 at the bridge—or even the addition of a middle VA1 for more variety.

But there are also players—very good ones we might add—who, seeking to wrap their hands and style around this legendary timbre, need more support to enable them to incorporate this signature sound into their personal arsenal.

Blasting forward from this fertile hollow Swamp Ash platform, M-Series pickups are more than happy to indulge. Loading with an M1 in the neck position and an angle-mounted TM-2 at the bridge begs you “hit the gas” without trepidation of giving up any of those all-important single coil cravings. It is just a giant single coil love fest as no player has ever experienced before—unless of course Ms are already onboard your favorite axe.

Now the question naturally arises, who could possibly have the musical aptitude and foresight to ask that this spectacular instrument be decked out in Sparkle Silver with a Black Pickguard—definite performance-commanding attire for sure? To step on stage with this Hollow T Classic strapped over your shoulder is to respectfully ask for those around you to kneel—rather embarrassing but sometimes an unavoidable reaction from other guitar players who are harmonically “in the know.”

Anyway, as we were saying, who would you, who could you, entrust with such a magnificent instrument? Why Charley’s Guitar Shop in Dallas, Texas, of course. They are literally a legend in their own right, and being a premiere Anderson dealer, they try hard to understand what they hold in their hands for you—even if they don’t know where the jack hole went to.

But rest assured, they are a fully capable and professional store. Did we mention that they are a Dallas icon and able to assist you with any minor adjustment that requires the delicate and skilled expertise only a professional can provide?

Musical Emergency: Perhaps this Sparkle Silver, Hollow T Classic needs a home right away! Call this Crisis Intervention Hotline number to save an Anderson: 972. 243. 4187

Disclaimer: Rest easy now, no Anderson Guitars were actually harmed—not even the slightest—in any way during the making of this Guitar of the Week. After all, didn’t we mention that Charley’s is legendary? They could not harm an Anderson, even if they tried. But still, just in case they are not joking…972. 243. 4187.
