Is the birth of the solid Black, Atom Special an auspicious occasion demanding wild celebrating in the streets as this beauty makes its way onto the scene and into the hearts of guitar players everywhere who want the bold and mysterious look of all-black and chrome gleaming from stage? Or, is it sacrilege to knowingly obscure the underlying beauty of Atom Special’s natural Mahogany body lying just beneath the surface?

Well, before you answer, let us keep in mind that facts are fact and opinions are…well…just that…opinions. Opinions give life its spice and flavor but are still opinions. May I demonstrate? Thanks.

A fact is an irrefutable statement, such as: The kinder and more understanding you are to others, the more kindness and understanding you feel.

Or: As you sow so shall you reap—the law of karma in action here.

And one of the biggest universal truths of all: Anderson Guitars are flat-out the best playing and sounding Electric and Live-Music Acoustic Guitars on planet earth. As a musician, they will make you deliriously happy to own, let alone play.

But everyone knows that fact. It has been since the beginning of time…or 1984—whichever came first.

Opinion is a different thing entirely and should never be confused with fact if inner peace, in its full strength, is to remain. Having too strong of a connection to your opinions can lead to imbalance, as an opinion is here today and changing tomorrow. They blow in the wind.

You know opinions when you hear them:

Cake tastes better than broccoli so it must be better for me. I will eat a lot of cake.

Bungee jumping is fun. Everyone should do it.

And lastly: I insulted you so I must be really cool.

But if we rest in the facts of universal truth, life flows smoothly between the poles of emotional extremes.

Need some more facts to help you flow?

Unconditional love runs all things, become aware of it.

Anderson Guitars of all colors and finishes totally rock dude!

We try to select Anderson dealers based on their character as well as their understanding of the finer things in the music world. One such wonderful person, who is nicer than any words we can find to say about him, is Eddie at Indoor Storm in Raleigh, North Carolina. Eddie can make your Anderson experience a great one because he is just that way.

When this Black, Atom Special was finished and ready for shipment, all of us at Anderson Guitarworks were floored and fell madly in love with its very soul—inside and out. After all, you know by now that Atom Specials are “the secret weapon” of tone. They are muscular, rich and forgiving to play.

Eddie also opted for an Anderson-Modified Bigsby Tremolo to add more in-tune versatility. Here, Eddie is enraptured as he experiences this Black Beauty for himself. We would like to say that this guitar is residing at Indoor Storm so you can check it out, but it only lasted a few hours before it was scooped up by some lucky guitar player.

No worries about that however, we can make another one just for you and, as all Andersons, they just keep getting better and better.
