Anderson Answers to Quintessential Questions

Q: Now hold on just one ding dang minute here! Let me think about this for a second. What in the world is a Hollow T Classic Drop Top anyway?

A: Ah yes, a Hollow T Classic Drop Top. This is the way to achieve a comfortable, time-honored look while stepping way up and way out with the inclusion of a gorgeous maple-topped body that cannot go unnoticed.

As we all know by now, the Hollow T Classic’s silhouette is reminiscent of the very ubiquitous 25 ½-inch scale-length, single cut-away that virtually every guitar company offers in one form or another. It’s been that way for over 40 years. But for the Hollow T Classic, that is where any and all of the similarities come to an abrupt end. All you need do is but touch it to feel the oneness and integrity of its unrivaled build quality—as though music and fingers flow smoothly together. Grab onto the neck and you are utterly flying through passages that held you back before. Strum and listen—sustain for days and more sound than you have ever heard gush forth from an electric guitar. It is known as the Anderson Extended Bandwidth. This is a nice way to “bring it home”—literally and musically speaking.

For your sonic pleasure, the Hollow T Classic’s sealed hollow-chambered body can be had with all-Alder architecture, Swamp Ash Top with an Alder back or all-Swamp Ash—each one with or without body contours—it’s your choice.

Q: Okay, so then what on earth is a Hollow T Classic Drop Top?

A: The original Anderson, Drop Top is a double cut-away guitar with a beautiful Maple top that is bent (or dropped) to form an extremely comfortable forearm contour across the top of the body behind and adjacent to the bridge area.

A Drop Top T is the very same thing in single cut-away form.

So then, very simply, when we take a Hollow T Classic, with its visually-undetectable hollow sound chambers and “classic” pickguard styling, and apply Drop Top technology to its already refined demeanor, the result is a perfect playing Hollow T Classic that comes out to perform dressed in formal attire—an audience-astound maple top.

Sharp eyes have obviously already noticed exclusive Anderson M-Series Pickups loaded at neck and bridge locations of this particular Hollow T Classic Drop Top, to guarantee gargantuan single coil sounds will be at your command under all playing conditions.

A Hollow T Classic with a striking Maple top—this, my friend, is the Hollow T Classic Drop Top!
