Hollow Cobra S
Maple Top on Mahogany
Burnished Orange Burst with Binding

By day they are known as Magdon Music—and recognized as one of the coolest music stores on the planet. Stuffed with all the best musical gear, the cast and crew of Magdon are always happy and pleasantly helpful. Why? Well, they have discovered one of the secrets to inner joy: always have a large variety of gorgeous Anderson Guitars on the wall and all will be right with the world. At Magdon there is no waiting when the Anderson urge hits or the big gig is just around the corner and you need the axe of your dreams to sound and play your very best.

By night is another story however. After hours Jack, John and Jay become something entirely different. As Pennsylvanian legend has it, when the air is crisp and the moon is full a Dr. Jekell/Mr. Hyde-type metamorphosis (an innocuous rendition of course) transforms the musically knowledgeable trio into “Magdon Force!” Bold and confident, they prowl the streets looking for gigs and taking names. Of course the question naturally arises, “From where do they gain such authority? What gives them the right—and such impressive power?”

By day the secret can be found as you stare in awe at their impressive Anderson wall. There, implanted in plain sight among a vast array of show-stopping Anderson guitars, is the very first Cobra-style instrument to be adorned with the optically empowering Burnished Orange Burst finish.

By night this Hollow Cobra S transfers extreme amounts of power to the members of Magdon Force by way of its predominately Mahogany super structure and shorter 24 ¾-inch scale length. These two factors, in conjunction with a rosewood fingerboard and striking maple top, combine to focus the bandwidth in much the same way as a laser focuses light particles into a narrow, powerful beam. But the most surprising quality of a twin humbucker machine designed for this type of harmonious assault is its innate ability to apply its gifts in a symphonic way, delivering not only strong, melodious humbucker rhythm tones but a comprehensive array of extremely usable single coil sounds as well. Until Cobra this quality has been virtually unseen by an instrument of this format.

By day at Magdon Music it is easy to dive into the depths and explore the multi-faceted nuances that comprise the complex beauty that is a Burnished Orange Burst finish. But by night as the Magdon metamorphosis again unfolds, we now more clearly understand the uncontrollable passion that grips our friends, Jack, Jay and John, and just how easy it is to imagine how this Burnished Orange Burst, Hollow Cobra S could take over the night.
